A.M. Best reaffirmed The Main Street America Group's "A" (Excellent) rating in 2008. The rating is based on the consolidated financial results of NGM Insurance Company, Main Street America Assurance Company, Old Dominion Insurance Company and MSA Insurance Company.
What does an A.M. Best rating mean?
The A.M. Best Company is the oldest, most experienced rating agency in the world and has been reporting on the financial condition of insurance companies since 1899. An A.M. Best rating is assigned after an extensive quantitative and qualitative evaluation of a company's financial strength, operating performance and market profile.
